Introducing the SteepLine Series

Built for Fast and Technical Alpine Pursuits

At Alpinistlab, every product begins with a simple question: what do athletes truly need in the mountains? The new SteepLine series is our answer - a line of ski mountaineering packs developed in close collaboration with mountain running legend Markus Kröll and French pro-freerider Victor Galuchot. Together, we’ve created packs that merge speed, durability, and intelligent design, purpose-built for demanding alpine terrain.

Fast and Focused

SteepLine 25L+

Developed with Markus Kröll, the SteepLine 25L+ is engineered for skiers who move quickly in steep, technical environments. Crafted from Ultra400X fabric, it delivers a rare balance of low weight and durability.

Key features include:

  • Efficient storage: Dual shoulder-strap pockets for soft bottles and essentials, plus a side stretch pocket for quick skin stashing without removing the pack.
  • Smart access: External back zippered entry and a dedicated valuables compartment for keys or wallet.
  • Adaptable carry: Ice axe holders double as rope straps, while a removable ski-carry strap can also serve as a top lid strap.
  • All-season versatility: A bottom-access avalanche gear compartment transforms into rope storage for summer ascents.
  • Comfort on the move: Padded EcoPak EPLX450RS back panel and a removable hip belt for stability without bulk.

magnetic roll-top closure and modular design add to its innovative character, making the 25L+ a minimalist yet fully capable tool for fast alpine pushes.

Capacity Meets Control

SteepLine 35L+

For longer missions and more gear-intensive objectives, the SteepLine 35L+ co-designed with Victor Galuchot - expands the concept with increased capacity and enhanced functionality. Built with the same Ultra400X fabric, it’s made to handle the abuse of technical ski mountaineering.

Highlights include:

  • Rapid access: A new U-shaped back opening with a locking zipper allows quick, secure entry into the main compartment.
  • Load stability: A lightweight steel frame enhances carry efficiency, while a padded hipbelt with 38mm webbing keeps the pack steady on long climbs.
  • Technical storage: Walkie-talkie clip, lined goggle pocket, valuables pocket, and a versatile helmet holder (top or front).
  • Modular system: Four removable side straps and a top lid strap adapt for skis, rope, or additional gear.
  • Season-ready: Like the 25L+, it features a bottom-access avalanche gear compartment that doubles as rope storage in summer.

Despite its larger size, the SteepLine 35L+ stays agile and secure, allowing mountaineers to move quickly and confidently in the high alpine.
