In 2023, AlpinistLab was born as a shared initiative - rooted not in commerce, but in community, passion, and lived alpine experience.
The concept
The spirit of AlpinistLab lies in authenticity. Instead of relying on market forecasts or purely aesthetic trends, we build gear that aligns with the feedback and field-tested insights of our team. Our design studio in Norway supervised by Michal - AlpinistLab co-founder is focused on designing custom equipment not for mass trends, but for real-world performance. Every design reflects the direct input of practicing mountain professionals who test, adapt, and refine it.

PRODUCTION
Since autumn 2024, all AlpinistLab products have been produced in Slovakia, close to our core. Working with a factory run by a fellow climber ensures fast adaptation of designs, personal oversight, and ethical sourcing. Our materials—like Challenge Outdoor and Dyneema (for fabrics), and Woojin, ITW Nexus, Nifco (for components)—are carefully selected for durability, reliability, and field-proven performance
Designed in Norway
Our design studio run by Michal is situated in the core of Norwegian mountains - Romsdalen. There Michal produces all custom prototypes and designs for AlpinistLab team. Following the completion of testing and design, the samples are dispatched to Slovakia for larger-scale production.
